Pastor’s Profile
Pastor Edward D. Harris was born in Baltimore, Maryland where he was raised by his mother (the late Melva Jean Harris), a single parent. He accepted the Lord, Jesus Christ as his Savior in 1983 at the age of fifteen. He completed his formative education in the Baltimore City School System. He pastors a church-ministry that vision is to minister to the real needs of people with the authentic love and power that is found in Jesus Christ.
Pastor Harris has had the opportunities to serve as a school teacher, youth ministry worker, conference speaker, associate minister, and college professor; with almost 20 years of education experience and 12 years of ministry experience. Pastor Harris has been blessed to share the message of HOPE, HEALING, and DELIVERENCE that is found in the Gospel of Jesus Christ to people of all ages. He has a Bachelors and Masters in Education and a Doctorate in Religious Studies; Pastor Harris has served as a professor at Washington Bible College. He has also served with Christian Education National in developing ministries for youth (CE National).
He has received several honors and awards which include the Bowie State University Outstanding Community Service Award, MAEA Educator of the Year Award from Prince George’s County Public Schools (in Maryland), and the Bowie State University Education Department Academic Award of Excellence. He has served as the keynote speaker at the 2003, 2004, and 2005 Association of Christian Schools International Leadership Conference.
Pastor Harris has been blessed with many opportunities to use his God given gifts, abilities, and talents to serve in the field of education and in ministry; but his greatest blessing and ministry is being a husband to his wife, First Lady Sheli Harris and a father to his sons Edward,Jr and Nathan.
